About Me
Hi! My name is Lauren Wolffis, and I’m so happy you found me. Just a bit about myself… I’m a 29 year old RN from Michigan who loves to socialize and spend time with my husband, family, and friends. I enjoy singing, dancing, being in nature, traveling, reading, and cuddling with my puppy. My faith in Jesus is extremely important to me and brings me hope despite the trials I’ve faced. In December 2020, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer at age 26. I’d be lying if I didn’t say this has been the toughest time of my life. Never in a million years did I expect to receive a cancer diagnosis at such a young age. Although I’m still learning and growing each day, I want to use my story and the things I’ve learned through this difficult situation to help others in a similar situation. Whether you have breast cancer like me, are a family member or close friend of someone with cancer, or are just going through a difficult time, as you navigate your own journey, my hope is to inspire you to find positivity on the hard days, and keep living life to the fullest with a smile on your face.
I recognize that not everyone reading this will share my beliefs, but it would be crazy if I didn’t share my faith story and what it means to me as it is a huge part of who I am and how I have hope in the midst of my hardships. I grew up in a Christian family and went to church my entire life. As a child, I went to a Christian school through eighth grade, and chose to go to a Christian College. Like every believer, my faith has had it’s up and downs, but I can honestly say my faith in Jesus has grown even stronger since my diagnosis. Through my trials, I have learned how much I truly need God and His strength to help get me through each day. I absolutely believe that this year would’ve been a whole lot harder without my faith in Jesus. I am so thankful to be surrounded by a wonderful community of believers who have supported Nolan and me so well and continuously lift us up in prayer. Although not all of our prayers have been answered, it gives us so much encouragement knowing there are hundreds, if not thousands of people praying for us. We can feel the Lord’s peace and grace on some of the most difficult days because of the prayers of His people and for that we are eternally grateful.
Even though there have been many days when I feel like giving up, my faith in Jesus is sometimes the only thing that gets me through and gives me hope. Because of his unconditional love and sacrifice of dying on the cross for the sins the world, I can live without fear of death. What an amazing gift this is! Although I don’t always understand God’s plans for my life, I can say without a doubt I can rest easily in Him knowing he loves me so much and came to the earth so that I will experience eternal life with Him in heaven one day. I can also experience life filled with the greatest joy, and a peace that surpasses understanding. If you choose to believe these truths, you will be able to say the same thing, and I promise you won’t regret it.
If you have any questions about following Jesus please feel free to reach out to me. I would love to share the good news that gives me so much hope!
